Summary
Under the indirect supervision of the Quality Manager, this position will broadly support Quality activities related to the manufacture of electromechanical assemblies.
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary to meet the needs of the organization from time to time, as needed.
- Support the resolution of internal and external (customer & vendor) concerns.
- Drive improvement through process improvement, corrective and preventive actions.
- Address customer concerns and programs such as complaints data analysis, corrective actions, Support GMI quality system and ISO 13485 compliance.
- Support final inspection activities as needed.
- Support design reviews and first article inspections of both components and manufactured assemblies.
- Process and analyzes non-conforming materials.
- Provide data reports and trend analyses from data collection in support of quality engineering to address analysis and drive corrective and preventive action and process improvement.
- Support the quality activities related to supplier management.
- Write and review build instructions for the manufacturing and quality inspection processes.
- Support quality training efforts for quality inspectors and manufacturing personnel.

Requires an Associate degree in appropriate field (e.g. computer science, electronics, industrial/quality engineering, etc), or a minimum of two years working experience in similar quality positions.
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of quality management activities through work experience or formal education.
- Experience in problem solving, analytical skills and root cause analysis practices, with the ability to clearly communicate and share solutions in both written and verbal forms.
- Must be detail oriented and able to follow written procedures and work instructions to support operational processes and quality system compliance.
- Knowledge of (computer literate in) in Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once, be self-motivated, be able to work independently and adjust to changing priorities and must also be able to clearly communicate, written and verbally, to others, including Customers.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the Associate is frequently required to stand and use hand(s) to operate tools and assemble parts. The Associate must possess mobility to be able to work in a standard office and manufacturing setting and ESD manufacturing work environment and be able to use standard office equipment, including a computer and quality/ manufacturing equipment such as inspection tools and test equipment. The Associate will occasionally talk and listen, climb or balance, reach above shoulders, bend at the knees or waist. H/she will frequently sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle or touch, stoop, kneel, and move from place to place. The Associate will occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 90 pounds. Specific vision requirements for this position include ability to read printed materials and a computer screen. H/she must be able to effectively communicate in person and over the telephone. This position is factory based, in Mequon, WI.
